The perfect substrate for your arachnid’s bioactive enclosure!
Arachnid Biobedding is a unique blend of organic and inorganic ingredients, trace elements, and beneficial fungi that serves to jump-start the bioactive environment. Arachnid BioBedding is suitable for arid or humid enclosures (simply adjust watering) and arboreal, terrestrial and burrowing arachnids (simply adjust substrate depth).
It’s also great at growing plants and sustaining a healthy springtail population!

Does it need a drainage layer?
BioBedding Arachnid does not require a drainage layer if used with light or hand misting. For automatic misting setups, use in conjunction with a 2″ layer of Josh’s Frogs False Bottom and a Substrate Barrier.
How to Use:
Mix contents of bag thoroughly. Place a 1.5-2 inch layer of Arachnid BioBedding in your enclosure (use less if plants are not being utilized, and more for burrowing species). Add dechlorinated or RO water until BioBedding sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out.
How to Clean:
Stir the surface of BioBedding Arachnid every 1-2 weeks with a fork, or if waste is visible. Burying waste allows microfauna to process it more quickly. Change the substrate when it begins to break down – typically after several years.
