Is the installation process complicated?
Detailed installation instructions and step-by-step guides are included in the HOB filter kit. NOTE：The sealing gasket is pre-installed inside the product lid and does not require self-installation.A spare sealing gasket is included in the set.
There is noise during the initial startup.
During the initial startup, air will be drawn in, causing some noise. To effectively reduce air-venting noise and priming time, you need to manually fill the filter chamber with water through the pouring spout before powering it on.
Why is there abnormal or sudden loud noise?
1. Air bubbles or debris near the pump impeller. Remove the impeller, then clean it thoroughly with clean water and a cotton swab. 2. Vibration from the filter body touching the tank glass. Please check that the mounting hook is installed securely.
Why has the water flow suddenly weakened?
Check the following: 1. Is the filter media clogged? 2. Is there debris obstructing the intake tube? 3. Is the impeller/rotor tangled or restricted by foreign objects?
How does the filter’s hook/bracket adapt to different aquarium glass thicknesses during installation?
The HOB filter is equipped with an adjustable mounting hook. This allows it to easily accommodate different aquarium rim thicknesses (suitable for glass from 8–30mm), ensuring the filter hangs stably and horizontally on the back of the tank.
