One day, he leapt onto a cheap cat tree I had bought online. The structure wobbled, then collapsed. He fell hard. I held him all night, whispering that he’d be okay. But he wasn’t. He passed away in my arms.
I was heartbroken—and angry. So many cat trees on the market looked cute but were made of flimsy cardboard and unstable materials. They were not built for safety. Not built for love.
That night, I made a promise to Milo: I would build something better.
And I did.
